In Dark Souls, Gravelord Nito is the boss defeated to obtain the Lord Soul he holds.
Nito is one of the four major Lord Soul bearers encountered after the player places the Lordvessel. His domain is the Tomb of the Giants, a dark area reached through the Catacombs. The boss battle begins in a large cavern filled with skeletal enemies, and Nito attacks with a greatsword, toxic-looking area effects, and the ability to raise nearby skeletons.
The name can cause confusion because “Gravelord” also identifies Nito’s covenant, the Gravelord Servant covenant. Nito is both that covenant’s leader and one of the central powers of the game’s mythology. His Lord Soul was used in the primordial war against the dragons, alongside the souls claimed by Gwyn, the Witch of Izalith, and the Furtive Pygmy.
