In Dark Souls, which boss guards the entrance to Anor Londo from Sen’s Fortress?

The story behind the answer

In Dark Souls, the Iron Golem guards the entrance to Anor Londo from Sen’s Fortress.

The Iron Golem is the final boss of Sen’s Fortress, a dangerous stronghold filled with traps, swinging blades, serpent men, and pressure plates. After defeating it, the player reaches a glowing ring of light that transports them to Anor Londo, one of Lordran’s most important locations.

The boss is a massive animated construct made from iron and powered by the core of a demon. Its attacks include sweeping halberd strikes, stomps, and a powerful grab. The arena is a narrow rooftop, so positioning near the edges can cause either the player or the golem to fall.

The Iron Golem is sometimes confused with the smaller Titanite Demons found elsewhere in the game. Both are large, durable enemies, but the Iron Golem is a named boss with a dedicated fog gate and a guaranteed route to Anor Londo. Defeating it awards the Core of an Iron Golem and opens the next major area.
