In Dark Souls, what is the name of the dragon boss in the Artorias of the Abyss DLC?

Black Dragon Kalameet is the dragon boss in Dark Souls’ Artorias of the Abyss DLC.

Kalameet appears in the Royal Wood and is one of the DLC’s major optional challenges. The dragon’s black appearance, powerful physical attacks, fire breath, and distinctive dark-energy attacks make the encounter one of the expansion’s most demanding fights.

The giant Hawkeye Gough can help make the battle possible by shooting Kalameet down from the sky. After that event, the player can fight the dragon on the ground. Severing Kalameet’s tail rewards the Obsidian Greatsword, a weapon with a powerful two-handed attack.

Kalameet is not the same dragon as Darkeater Midir in Dark Souls III. Both are black dragons with dark-themed lore, but they belong to different games and have separate boss encounters.
