In Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which twin protagonists lead the playable story?

The story behind the answer

In Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the twin protagonists are Jacob Frye and Evie Frye.

Jacob and Evie are Assassins who operate in London during the Industrial Revolution. Jacob focuses heavily on taking control of London's criminal underworld, while Evie pursues missions involving the Piece of Eden and the wider Templar threat. Players can switch between them for much of the campaign, and each has distinctive abilities and equipment.

The game is set in 1868, near the end of Queen Victoria's reign. Its historical cast includes figures such as Charles Dickens, Alexander Graham Bell, and Queen Victoria, alongside fictional characters and the series' continuing secret conflict.

Jacob and Evie are siblings, not unrelated playable characters. Their shared surname is Frye. Connor and Haytham Kenway belong to Assassin's Creed III, Bayek and Aya to Origins, and Arno and Élise to Unity.
