Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China features Shao Jun as its protagonist.

Released in 2015, Chronicles: China follows Shao Jun, an Assassin trained by Ezio Auditore. The story is set in China during the sixteenth century, after the collapse of the Chinese Assassin Brotherhood’s main presence under pressure from the Eight Tigers.

The game uses a side-scrolling, two-and-a-half-dimensional format rather than the fully open-world structure used by the main console entries. Shao Jun uses stealth, climbing, tools and combat abilities while seeking to rebuild the Brotherhood and pursue its enemies.

Chronicles: China is the first installment in a trilogy of downloadable-style side-scrolling games. The other two entries are Chronicles: India, starring Arbaaz Mir, and Chronicles: Russia, starring Nikolai Orelov.
