Sinners received 13 nominations at the 2026 BAFTAs.
Ryan Coogler’s 2025 film was one of the ceremony’s leading contenders, ranking just behind One Battle After Another, which received 14 nominations. Sinners ultimately converted three of its nominations into wins: Original Screenplay for Coogler, Supporting Actress for Wunmi Mosaku and Original Score.
The film’s nomination total covered major categories as well as craft fields, reflecting the breadth of its reception. Its awards-season profile was sometimes confused with its later Oscar campaign, where Sinners received 16 nominations—a different ceremony and a different total.
The BAFTA nominations were announced on 27 January 2026, ahead of the winners ceremony on 22 February at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Sinners competed for Best Film and received recognition for performances, writing, music and technical achievement.
