HUNTR/X has three members in KPop Demon Hunters.
The trio consists of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. Together, they function as both a successful K-pop group and a demon-hunting team. Their three-person lineup allows the film to give each heroine a distinct personality, visual style, role in the group, and emotional storyline.
The number three also connects HUNTR/X to the film’s mythology. The story explains that earlier trios of women became demon hunters and used their voices to create the Honmoon, a magical barrier against demons. HUNTR/X therefore continue an established tradition rather than inventing the role from nothing.
HUNTR/X should not be confused with the Saja Boys, the rival boy band in the film. The Saja Boys are a separate group with five members. This difference between the central trio and the opposing quintet is part of the film’s character and performance design.
