There are four main feature films in the Kung Fu Panda series through 2024.
The films are Kung Fu Panda, released in 2008; Kung Fu Panda 2, released in 2011; Kung Fu Panda 3, released in 2016; and Kung Fu Panda 4, released in 2024. Together they follow Po from an enthusiastic noodle-shop worker to an established kung fu master and mentor.
The franchise also includes short films, television specials, television series, video games, and other licensed material. Those projects do not increase the number of main theatrical feature films, which is why counting every screen production can produce a different total.
The four movies share recurring characters such as Po, Master Shifu, Mr. Ping, and the Furious Five, but each has its own principal villain and setting. The fourth film introduces Zhen and The Chameleon while continuing Po’s story after the original trilogy.
