How many different endings are available in Elden Ring?

The story behind the answer

Elden Ring has six different endings available to the player.

The endings are reached after the final battle, when the Tarnished interacts with the fractured Elden Ring or follows the requirements of a particular questline. The Age of Fracture ending is the most direct conclusion, while other outcomes include the Age of Stars, the Age of Order, the Blessing of Despair, the Age of Duskborn, and the Lord of Frenzied Flame.

Several endings share the same broad final sequence but change the concluding scene and the fate of the Lands Between. The Age of Stars is tied to Ranni’s quest, while the Frenzied Flame ending requires contact with the Three Fingers and can lock out other choices unless the player takes specific corrective steps.

The number six refers to distinct ending outcomes, not the number of final bosses or major questlines. Elden Ring’s expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, adds substantial story material but does not replace the base game’s six principal endings.
