Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley have three children in J.K. Rowling’s epilogue.
The children are James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter, and Lily Luna Potter. They appear in the final chapter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, set 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts, as the family travels to King’s Cross station.
Their names connect them to important people and figures from the series. James is named after Harry’s father, Sirius Black; Albus is named after Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape; and Lily is named after Harry’s mother, Lily Potter. Luna Lovegood is honoured in Lily’s middle name.
Readers sometimes confuse Harry and Ginny’s family with Ron and Hermione’s children, Rose and Hugo. The epilogue also shows Draco Malfoy’s son, Scorpius, and confirms that the next generation is entering Hogwarts.
