At which venue was Bob Marley's iconic live version of 'No Woman, No Cry' recorded?

The story behind the answer

At which venue was Bob Marley's iconic live version of “No Woman, No Cry” recorded? It was recorded at London's Lyceum Theatre.

The performance took place on 17 July 1975 during the Natty Dread Tour. The recording became the best-known version of the song and appeared on the live album Live!, released later that year. Its extended performance, audience response and expressive vocal delivery helped make it one of Marley's signature recordings.

A common mix-up is confusing the live recording with the original studio version. The studio recording appeared on the 1974 album Natty Dread and was made at Harry J Studio in Kingston, Jamaica. The Lyceum performance is a different recording, captured in London in 1975.

The song itself is associated with Trenchtown, Kingston, and songwriting credit was given to Vincent Ford, a friend of Marley who ran a soup kitchen there. The live recording later entered the Grammy Hall of Fame.
