Who won the 2026 Critics Choice Award for Best Casting and Ensemble for Sinners?
Answer
Francine Maisler
Francine Maisler won the 2026 Critics Choice Award for Best Casting and Ensemble for Sinners.
Maisler was recognized for the casting and ensemble work on Sinners, Ryan Coogler’s period supernatural horror film. The category focused on the assembled cast rather than singling out one acting performance.
Sinners had the most film nominations at the 31st Critics’ Choice Awards, receiving 17 nominations. It ultimately won four awards, including Best Original Screenplay for Coogler and Best Score for Ludwig Göransson. Its ensemble recognition was therefore part of a broader showing across major and craft categories.
The category was newly introduced at this ceremony, making Maisler the inaugural winner of Best Casting and Ensemble at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Other nominees included Hamnet, Jay Kelly, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, and Wicked: For Good.
