Frankenstein and Sinners each won four film awards at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.
The two films shared the ceremony’s film-win lead with four awards apiece. Frankenstein’s victories included Best Supporting Actor for Jacob Elordi, costume design, production design, and hair and makeup. Sinners won original screenplay, young actor/actress, score, and casting/ensemble.
Their results came from different strengths. Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein dominated several visual and craft categories, while Ryan Coogler’s Sinners combined a screenplay award with recognition for its young performer, music, and ensemble casting.
The joint total is separate from nominations. Sinners led the nominations with 17, while One Battle After Another received 14. A film can therefore lead nominations without winning the most awards, which is why the win count must be read independently.
