Sinners earned Francine Maisler the 2026 Critics Choice Award for Best Casting/Ensemble.
Maisler won for assembling the cast of Sinners, Ryan Coogler’s period supernatural horror film. The award recognizes the casting and ensemble as a whole rather than a single performer. Sinners features Michael B. Jordan in dual roles as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, alongside an ensemble that includes Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, and Delroy Lindo.
Best Casting/Ensemble was one of three new film categories introduced at the 2026 ceremony. The other new film categories were Best Stunt Design and Best Sound. The addition gave the Critics Choice Awards a way to recognize collaborative work that does not fit neatly into individual acting or technical awards.
Sinners led all films with 17 nominations and won four awards. Its other victories were Best Original Screenplay, Best Young Actor/Actress, and Best Score, making the casting prize part of a broad recognition of the film’s creative team.
