Which 2026 Critics Choice Awards winner was the South Korean series Squid Game?

Squid Game won Best Foreign Language Series at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.

The South Korean Netflix drama received the ceremony’s Best Foreign Language Series award. This category honored television made primarily outside the English-language mainstream and included nominees from South Korea, Japan, France, Italy, Israel, Spain, and the United States.

Squid Game’s victory was separate from the ceremony’s general drama-series awards. The Pitt won Best Drama Series, while Pluribus won Best Actress in a Drama Series for Rhea Seehorn and Severance won Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Tramell Tillman.

The category should also be distinguished from Best Foreign Language Film, which went to The Secret Agent, a Brazilian film. The Critics Choice Awards used separate television and film categories for international productions.
