Who won Premier League Young Player of the Season for 2023-24?
Answer
Cole Palmer
Answer
Cole Palmer
Cole Palmer won Premier League Young Player of the Season for 2023–24. The Chelsea attacking midfielder received the award after a breakthrough campaign that combined prolific scoring with creative play.
Palmer scored 22 Premier League goals and supplied 11 assists during the season. He had moved from Manchester City to Chelsea in September 2023, and the transfer gave him a regular starting role and greater responsibility in attack. His output made him one of the league’s most influential young players.
The award is open to players aged 23 or younger at the start of the season. Palmer was 21 when the campaign began, making him eligible. He became the third player to reach at least 30 goal involvements in a Premier League season while aged 21 or younger, following Robbie Fowler and Chris Sutton.
The result can be confused with Phil Foden, who won the senior 2023–24 Premier League Player of the Season award. Bukayo Saka and Kobbie Mainoo were also prominent young players, but Palmer took the official Young Player prize.
