The 1975 were one of Glastonbury’s three 2025 Pyramid Stage headliners, alongside Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo. Their Friday-night performance opened the festival’s headline programme.
The band headlined Glastonbury for the first time in 2025, although they had already appeared at the festival in 2014 and 2016. Their promotion to the top of the bill reflected their status as one of Britain’s most prominent contemporary alternative-pop and rock acts.
Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts headlined on Saturday, while Olivia Rodrigo closed the Pyramid Stage programme on Sunday. Rod Stewart performed the traditional Legends slot, which is important context because that appearance was prominent but separate from the three main headline positions.
Pulp also played the 2025 Pyramid Stage, but they were not one of the three headline acts. Biffy Clyro and The Prodigy headlined other stages, making them plausible but incorrect alternatives to The 1975.
