Who voices Emmet Brickowski in the 2014 film The Lego Movie?

Chris Pratt voices Emmet Brickowski in the 2014 film The Lego Movie.

Emmet is an ordinary construction worker who is mistakenly identified as a special hero destined to save the LEGO universe. Pratt’s performance gives the character an upbeat, anxious, and comic personality, making Emmet the central viewpoint character of the film.

The Lego Movie was directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and released in 2014. Its story combines original LEGO characters with appearances by familiar LEGO figures and properties, including Batman, Superman, and various historical and fictional characters.

A frequent mix-up is assigning another major voice actor’s role to Pratt. Will Arnett voices Batman, while Channing Tatum voices Superman. Chris Pratt also voices other animated characters, including a central character in the later LEGO spin-off The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, but Emmet remains his defining role in the first film.
