Who voiced Captain Jacob Keyes in the original Halo: Combat Evolved?

Pete Stacker voiced Captain Jacob Keyes in the original Halo: Combat Evolved.

Keyes is the UNSC captain who commands the frigate Pillar of Autumn at the start of the game. After the ship arrives at Alpha Halo, he becomes a central military leader in humanity's fight against the Covenant and attempts to organize resistance on the ringworld.

Stacker's performance helped define Keyes as a calm but forceful officer, distinct from Steve Downes's portrayal of the Master Chief. Tim Dadabo voiced 343 Guilty Spark, the artificial intelligence encountered later in the campaign, making him a frequent source of confusion in cast questions.

Keyes also appears in Halo: Reach, which takes place shortly before Combat Evolved. His story ultimately becomes tragic when the Flood capture and assimilate him; the Master Chief later retrieves Keyes's neural implants to operate the Pillar of Autumn.
