Which 2014 compilation included Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary?

The 2014 compilation that included Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Released for Xbox One on November 11, 2014, the collection brought four major campaigns together: Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4.

Combat Evolved Anniversary itself originally launched in 2011 as a remastered celebration of the first Halo game’s tenth anniversary. Its inclusion in The Master Chief Collection made that remaster part of a larger package centered on Master Chief’s story rather than a standalone release.

A common mix-up is Halo 3: ODST. ODST was later added to the collection, but it was not part of the original four-game lineup announced for the 2014 launch. Halo Infinite is a separate 2021 entry, while Halo Wars: Definitive Edition belongs to Halo’s real-time-strategy branch and was never part of the collection’s core campaign package.
