Who scored Chelsea’s second goal in the 3–2 win over Fulham during 2026–27’s opening weekend?

The story behind the answer

Morgan Rogers scored Chelsea’s second goal in their 3–2 win over Fulham during the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.

Rogers scored in the 41st minute at Craven Cottage, restoring Chelsea’s lead after Fulham had equalised through Josh King. It was his competitive Chelsea debut and gave the visitors a 2–1 advantage at half-time.

Cole Palmer later scored Chelsea’s third goal early in the second half. Fulham responded through Gonzalo García, but Chelsea held on to begin Xabi Alonso’s tenure with a victory.

The goal is easy to confuse with João Pedro’s opener, which arrived after only 31 seconds, or Palmer’s winner. Rogers was the player who scored Chelsea’s second goal of the match.
