Who scored 36 goals for Manchester City in the 2022-23 Premier League season?
Answer
Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland scored 36 goals for Manchester City in the 2022–23 Premier League season.
Haaland won the Golden Boot after joining City from Borussia Dortmund in summer 2022. His total broke the Premier League record for goals by one player in a 38-match season, surpassing the previous 34-goal benchmarks set by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer in 42-match campaigns.
His scoring powered Manchester City to the league title, their third in a row. Haaland scored 36 league goals in 35 appearances and added 12 more in the UEFA Champions League, finishing his first City campaign with 52 goals in all competitions.
Harry Kane finished second in the league scoring race with 30 goals, while Mohamed Salah scored 19. The 36-goal figure refers only to Premier League matches, not Haaland’s all-competition total.
