Who plays the role of Viktor Drago in Creed II?

Florian Munteanu plays Viktor Drago in Creed II. Viktor is the son of Ivan Drago, the Soviet boxer who fatally injured Apollo Creed in Rocky IV.

Munteanu was cast as Viktor in 2018 after filmmakers searched for a physically imposing European boxer. A Romanian-born German actor and former amateur boxer, he was discovered through online training videos and made his major Hollywood debut in the film.

Viktor is not the same character as Ivan Drago, who is played by Dolph Lundgren. Michael B. Jordan plays Adonis Creed, Viktor's opponent, while Sylvester Stallone returns as Rocky Balboa. The story connects Creed II directly to Rocky IV by making the sons of Apollo and Ivan face one another.

Munteanu also reprised Viktor in Creed III. Outside the Rocky universe, he is known for playing Razor Fist in Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
