Who plays Nathan Drake in the 2022 Uncharted film?

Tom Holland plays Nathan Drake in the 2022 film Uncharted. The movie presents Drake as a younger version of the globe-trotting treasure hunter from Naughty Dog’s video-game series, before the character’s established adventures in the games.

Holland was cast in May 2017, several years before filming finally began. His version of Drake works as a bartender and pickpocket in New York City before Victor “Sully” Sullivan recruits him to search for the lost treasure of Ferdinand Magellan’s expedition. Mark Wahlberg plays Sully, while Sophia Ali plays Chloe Frazer.

A common mix-up comes from the film’s long development history: Wahlberg was originally attached to play Drake when the project was conceived, but he ultimately became Sully. Nolan North, the voice and performance-capture actor for the games’ Nathan Drake, also appears in the film, but he does not play the lead role.
