Who composed the original score for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End?

Henry Jackman composed the original score for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Jackman took over scoring duties for the fourth main Uncharted game, replacing Greg Edmonson, who had composed the music for the earlier trilogy. His score preserves the series’ recognizable sense of adventure while supporting the more reflective story of Nathan Drake’s retirement, family relationships, and return to treasure hunting.

The music was recorded with an orchestra at AIR Studios in London. It combines sweeping orchestral writing with rhythmic action cues and quieter themes for the game’s character-driven scenes. Additional music was provided by Alex Belcher, but Jackman is credited as the composer of the original score.

Greg Edmonson is the most tempting wrong answer because he wrote the music for Uncharted, Uncharted 2, and Uncharted 3. Gustavo Santaolalla and Ramin Djawadi are also prominent film and television composers, but neither composed Uncharted 4’s main score. The soundtrack was released digitally alongside the game’s launch in May 2016.
