Who plays Dalton Russell, the narrator and mastermind, in Inside Man?

Clive Owen plays Dalton Russell in the 2006 heist film Inside Man.

Russell presents himself as the leader of a carefully planned Manhattan bank robbery. The story is framed around his direct address to the audience, while Detective Keith Frazier, played by Denzel Washington, negotiates with the robbers inside the bank.

Inside Man was directed by Spike Lee and written by Russell Gewirtz. Its plot combines a hostage negotiation with a puzzle-box mystery: the robbery appears to be a conventional theft, but the film gradually reveals that Russell's goals involve a hidden secret in the bank's vault.

The film's cast also includes Jodie Foster as Madeleine White and Christopher Plummer as bank owner Arthur Case. Unlike many heist stories, Inside Man spends as much time on the investigation and the motives behind the crime as it does on the robbery itself.
