Who played Sean Boswell, the central character in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift?

The story behind the answer

Lucas Black played Sean Boswell, the central character in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Sean is an American teenager whose repeated street-racing trouble leads him to move to Tokyo. There, he learns drifting and becomes involved with Han Lue and the local racing community. Black's performance anchors the film, which uses a largely new cast and setting compared with the first two installments.

Black later reprised Sean in brief appearances in Furious 7 and F9. Those returns helped connect Tokyo Drift to the wider franchise timeline and made Sean part of the recurring racing family.

Sean is sometimes confused with Han Lue, played by Sung Kang, or Twinkie, played by Bow Wow. Han is the more experienced mentor figure, while Sean is the inexperienced newcomer whose driving skills develop through the story.
