Who managed Leicester City to the 2015-16 Premier League title?

The story behind the answer

Claudio Ranieri managed Leicester City to the 2015–16 Premier League title. Leicester were confirmed as champions on 2 May 2016 after Tottenham Hotspur drew 2–2 with Chelsea, completing one of football's most remarkable title victories.

Ranieri had taken charge in July 2015 after Nigel Pearson's departure. Leicester had narrowly avoided relegation the previous season, and bookmakers famously rated their title chances at 5,000–1 before the campaign began. Ranieri's calm management, together with outstanding performances from players such as Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kanté, helped transform the team into champions.

Leicester finished with 81 points, winning 23 matches, drawing 12 and losing only three. The title was the first top-flight championship in the club's history and made Ranieri the Premier League Manager of the Season. Rafael Benítez, Antonio Conte and Roberto Mancini each managed Premier League clubs, but none led Leicester to that title.
