Who is the office accountant obsessed with cats?

The office accountant obsessed with cats is Angela Martin.

Angela Martin is Dunder Mifflin Scranton’s senior accountant, played by Angela Kinsey. She is known for her strict manners, conservative tastes and devotion to cats. Her love of them is a recurring character detail, contrasting with her severe attitude toward many of her co-workers.

The series gives that obsession several memorable storylines. Angela owns numerous cats, including Sprinkles, whose death after Dwight Schrute agrees to care for her causes a major rupture in their relationship. She later accepts another cat from Dwight, and the cats repeatedly appear in jokes and documentary scenes involving her private life.

Angela is also head of the Party Planning Committee and serves as the branch’s safety officer for part of the series. Her accounting colleagues are Kevin Malone and Oscar Martinez, but neither shares her feline fixation. Phyllis Vance works in sales, so she is not the accountant described by the question.

Angela’s relationship with Dwight eventually becomes central to her story. Despite betrayals, engagements and a marriage to Senator Robert Lipton, she and Dwight ultimately reunite and marry.
