Who is the fellow treasure hunter aiding Nathan Drake in Golden Abyss?

The story behind the answer

The fellow treasure hunter aiding Nathan Drake in Golden Abyss is Marisa Chase.

Marisa is introduced as the granddaughter of archaeologist Vincent Perez, whose unfinished research leads Drake toward the lost city of Quivira. She and Drake begin working together after discovering clues connected to the Sete Cidades, an ancient Christian sect associated with the legendary Seven Cities of Gold.

Golden Abyss is a prequel to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and was developed by Bend Studio for the PlayStation Vita. Unlike Elena Fisher or Chloe Frazer, Marisa was created specifically for this handheld adventure. Christine Lakin provided her voice and performance, while Nolan North returned as Nathan Drake.

Players sometimes confuse Marisa with the series’ more familiar women because Elena and Chloe are major companions in the main games. Marisa’s role is distinct: she is an archaeologist’s granddaughter and an active treasure hunter with a personal stake in solving her family’s mystery. The adventure ultimately reveals that Quivira’s gold is dangerously radioactive.
