Who is Dr. Cortex's new assistant in Crash Bandicoot 2?

Dr. N. Gin is Dr. Cortex’s new assistant in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.

After Cortex is defeated in the first game, he falls into a cavern containing powerful crystals. One year later, he returns with Dr. N. Gin, who helps build an upgraded, crystal-powered Cortex Vortex in outer space. Cortex then manipulates Crash into collecting crystals needed for his plan.

N. Gin is a scientist and recurring member of Cortex’s villainous team. In Crash Bandicoot 2, he serves as Cortex’s technical partner and later becomes one of the game’s bosses, piloting a large mechanical spacecraft during the confrontation.

The distractors belong to different parts of the series. Tiny Tiger is a powerful mutant henchman, Dr. N. Tropy is a time-manipulating villain, and Dr. N. Brio was Cortex’s original assistant in the first game before turning against him.
