Who is Donald Duck's girlfriend?

Who is Donald Duck’s girlfriend? Daisy Duck.

Daisy Duck is Donald Duck’s girlfriend and recurring romantic partner in Disney cartoons, comics and television shows. She is an anthropomorphic white duck known for her eyelashes, bow, fashionable clothes and a personality that is generally more poised and self-controlled than Donald’s explosive temperament.

Daisy’s familiar identity was introduced in the 1940 short film Mr. Duck Steps Out, directed by Jack King and scripted by Carl Barks. Donald visits her for a date, but Huey, Dewey and Louie interrupt and compete for her attention. Daisy was later brought into Donald’s comic stories, where she became a regular member of the wider Duck family cast.

Her history has a small complication: the 1937 short Don Donald featured a female duck named Donna Duck, who is often described as an early version or inspiration for Daisy. Disney has also treated Donna as Daisy’s debut under an earlier name. In most modern quiz and story contexts, however, Daisy is the canonical answer.

Daisy and Donald are not always perfectly harmonious. Comics frequently show her becoming frustrated with Donald’s immaturity, and she sometimes dates his cousin Gladstone Gander during arguments or temporary breakups.
