Peter Jones has appeared in every UK series of Dragon's Den as the only original Dragon still on the show.
Jones joined the programme at its launch in 2005 and remained a member of the investment panel as other Dragons departed and new ones arrived. His continued presence makes him the link between the first series and later generations of the BBC programme.
The original panel included Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Doug Richard. None of the other original investors stayed for the entire run. Jones therefore became particularly associated with the show's long-term identity, alongside his separate career in consumer brands, technology and investment.
Viewers sometimes confuse longest-serving with original cast member. Several early Dragons returned or appeared for multiple series, but Peter Jones is distinguished by having remained throughout the UK programme's series history.
