In Dragons' Den, which inventor presented the Tangle Teezer hairbrush in 2007?

Shaun Pulfrey presented the Tangle Teezer hairbrush on Dragons' Den in 2007.

Pulfrey was a professional hair colourist and inventor who designed the Tangle Teezer to remove knots without the pulling associated with ordinary brushes. He approached the dragons seeking investment, but none of them accepted his proposal during the televised pitch.

The business later became a notable example of success without a Dragons' Den deal. Pulfrey continued developing and selling the product, and the company built an international customer base through specialist hair retailers, online sales and wider distribution.

The story is often used to illustrate that a rejected television pitch is not the same as a failed business. Dragons make decisions using the information, valuation and terms presented in the room; entrepreneurs can still revise their strategy, improve a product and grow independently afterward.
