Who directed Rayman Legends?

The story behind the answer

Michel Ancel directed Rayman Legends.

Rayman Legends was developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and released in 2013 as the direct sequel to Rayman Origins. Ancel was the game's director, continuing his creative association with the Rayman franchise, which he originally created and helped establish with the first game in 1995.

The game was initially announced as a Wii U title at E3 2012. Its release was delayed, and Ubisoft ultimately expanded it into a multiplatform game for systems including Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita and Windows. Later ports followed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Stadia.

The other choices describe different development roles. Emile Morel was credited as a designer, while Guillaume Gernez was a programmer. Jacques Exertier is associated with directing entries in the Raving Rabbids branch, which can make his name seem plausible in a Rayman question but does not make him the director of Rayman Legends.
