Who directed Paddington in Peru, the third Paddington feature film?

The story behind the answer

Dougal Wilson directed Paddington in Peru, the third Paddington feature film.

Wilson took over directing duties for the third film after Paul King, who directed the first two movies. Paddington in Peru returns the character to his birthplace for an adventure involving Aunt Lucy and the wilderness of Peru.

The film was released in 2024 and continues the live-action and computer-generated approach established by the earlier movies. Ben Whishaw again provides Paddington’s voice.

Paul King remained associated with the series as a producer and co-writer of the story, but he did not direct the third film. This distinction is useful because King’s name is strongly connected with the first two Paddington films, while Wilson became the director of the Peru-set continuation.
