Who directed Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation?
Answer
Christopher McQuarrie
Answer
Christopher McQuarrie
Christopher McQuarrie directed Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
Released in 2015, Rogue Nation was McQuarrie’s first Mission: Impossible film as director. He had already collaborated with Tom Cruise on Valkyrie, Jack Reacher, and Edge of Tomorrow, and he had written the screenplay for the earlier film Ghost Protocol. His work on Rogue Nation began a long creative partnership with the franchise.
The film follows Ethan Hunt as he investigates the Syndicate, a covert organization made up of highly trained rogue agents. It introduces Ilsa Faust, played by Rebecca Ferguson, and brings back Solomon Lane, played by Sean Harris.
McQuarrie also directed Mission: Impossible – Fallout and the two-part Dead Reckoning story. The earlier entries were directed by Brian De Palma, John Woo, J. J. Abrams, and Brad Bird, so the series has used a different director for much of its history.
