Who composed the soundtrack for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves?

Greg Edmonson composed the soundtrack for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. His score gives the 2009 action-adventure game its sweeping orchestral sound, matching Nathan Drake’s journey from a museum robbery and Himalayan train chase to the lost city of Shambhala.

Edmonson was already known for television and film composition before working with Naughty Dog. He also composed the music for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, making him the composer most closely associated with the original trilogy. His Uncharted music combines recurring themes with tense action cues and atmospheric arrangements for exploration.

A common mix-up is Clint Bajakian, who also worked in game music and was involved with the wider Uncharted audio team. However, the credited composer for Among Thieves is Edmonson. The soundtrack was strongly recognized in the game-audio world: Uncharted 2 won awards for original music composition, original score, and use of audio, helping establish the series’ cinematic musical identity.
