Who composed the score for Fast Five?

The story behind the answer

Brian Tyler composed the score for Fast Five.

Fast Five marked a major shift in the franchise from a street-racing series toward an international heist action film. Tyler’s score supports that change with large orchestral action music, driving rhythmic passages, and recurring themes for the team and its missions.

Tyler had already worked on earlier entries, including The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious. He continued scoring several later films, making him one of the franchise’s most consistent behind-the-scenes contributors.

The score should not be confused with the film’s soundtrack songs, which were performed by different artists. “Danza Kuduro,” for example, is associated with the film’s ending but was not composed as the orchestral score by Tyler.
