Who commanded SpaceX’s Inspiration4 mission in September 2021?

Jared Isaacman commanded SpaceX’s Inspiration4 mission in September 2021.

Isaacman was the mission commander and funded the private orbital flight. The crew launched aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft from Florida on 15 September 2021 and spent about three days orbiting Earth.

The mission carried four civilians: Isaacman, physician assistant Hayley Arceneaux, geoscience professor Sian Proctor, and data engineer Chris Sembroski. It was the first orbital spaceflight whose crew consisted entirely of private citizens, without a professional government astronaut aboard.

Inspiration4 is sometimes confused with Axiom Space’s Ax-1, which was the first privately operated crew mission to the International Space Station. Inspiration4 instead flew independently in orbit and did not visit the ISS.
