Who co-wrote Creed III's screenplay with Zach Baylin?

The story behind the answer

Keenan Coogler co-wrote Creed III’s screenplay with Zach Baylin. The pair received the film’s screenplay credit, while Ryan Coogler shared story credit with them.

Keenan Coogler is Ryan Coogler’s younger brother and a screenwriter whose work helped shape the third Creed film’s central conflict. Creed III follows Adonis Creed after his boxing career and brings him into conflict with Damian Anderson, a childhood friend whose lost opportunities and resentment drive the drama.

Zach Baylin had been announced as a writer during the film’s development, and the final writing credits distinguish between the story and screenplay. That distinction explains why Ryan Coogler is connected to the film but is not the answer to this question: he received story credit rather than screenplay credit.

Creed III was also notable behind the camera. Michael B. Jordan, who plays Adonis, made his directorial debut with the film. It was the first film in the series not to feature Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, although Stallone remained involved as a producer.
