Deathloop features the time-loop island of Blackreef.

Developed by Arkane Studios, Deathloop follows Colt Vahn as he awakens on Blackreef, an island trapped in a repeating day. Colt must eliminate a group of powerful targets called Visionaries before the loop resets, while Julianna Blake hunts him and attempts to preserve the cycle. The game combines first-person action, stealth, exploration, and investigation.

Blackreef’s loop structure is central to the design. Players learn the island’s routines, discover information, and use that knowledge to plan increasingly effective runs. The world’s locations and events change according to time of day, creating a puzzle-like layer around the combat.

Deathloop is sometimes confused with Dishonored because both were made by Arkane and share immersive-simulation ideas. They are separate franchises, however, and Deathloop’s distinctive setting is Blackreef. The game launched in 2021 for PlayStation 5 and Windows before later Xbox availability.
