The Xbox franchise set in the fictional world of Albion is Fable.
Fable is a role-playing game series created by Lionhead Studios. Its setting, Albion, is a fantasy land that changes over time and reflects the player character’s choices. Heroes can develop reputations, relationships, and physical traits based on their behavior, giving the series a distinctive moral-choice system.
The original Fable was released for the Xbox in 2004. It was followed by Fable: The Lost Chapters, Fable II, and Fable III, with later entries expanding Albion’s history from a traditional fantasy society into a more industrialized kingdom.
Albion is not the same setting as Tamriel from The Elder Scrolls or Ferelden from Dragon Age. The name also appears in older British literary and historical usage, but in Xbox trivia it specifically identifies the fictional world of Fable. A new Fable game was announced by Xbox Game Studios and developed by Playground Games.
