Which Xbox 360 model introduced the console's slim redesign in 2010?
Answer
Xbox 360 S
Answer
Xbox 360 S
The Xbox 360 S introduced the Xbox 360’s slim redesign in 2010.
Microsoft unveiled the redesigned model at E3 in June 2010 and released it later that month. It was commonly called the Xbox 360 S or Xbox 360 Slim. The model had a smaller, quieter enclosure, integrated Wi-Fi, and a redesigned internal layout intended to improve reliability and reduce power consumption.
The 360 S also included a dedicated port for the newer Kinect accessory, replacing the need for a separate power supply in some setups. It was sold with different hard-drive capacities during its life, including 250 GB and 4 GB configurations.
The Xbox 360 E followed in 2013 with another exterior redesign. Because both models are later revisions of the same console family, the S and E names are frequently confused. The S is the 2010 slim redesign.
