Craven Cottage hosted Fulham versus Chelsea in the final match of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
The west London derby was played on Monday 24 August 2026, completing the opening round. Fulham were the home team, so the match took place at their historic riverside stadium rather than at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea won 3–2 in a closely contested match. Because the game was the last fixture of the round, its result completed the first-weekend table and gave Chelsea three opening points.
Craven Cottage and Stamford Bridge are both in west London, which makes the venue especially easy to mix up. The home designation in the fixture list identifies Craven Cottage as the correct ground.
