Which venue hosted Fulham versus Chelsea in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round?
Answer
Craven Cottage
Craven Cottage hosted Fulham versus Chelsea in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.
The match was played on Monday 24 August 2026, closing the first round of fixtures. Craven Cottage is Fulham’s historic stadium beside the River Thames in west London, while Chelsea’s home ground is Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea won the match 3–2. Because Fulham were listed as the home team, the fixture was played at Craven Cottage rather than at Chelsea’s stadium.
The venue is a frequent source of confusion in London fixtures because several Premier League grounds are relatively close together. Stamford Bridge belongs to Chelsea, Emirates Stadium belongs to Arsenal, and Selhurst Park belongs to Crystal Palace.
