The Warthog gains a fourth rear-bumper seat in Halo: Campaign Evolved.
That change lets a complete four-person fireteam ride in one vehicle while driving or fighting. The remake otherwise preserves the Warthog’s familiar role as a fast UNSC light reconnaissance vehicle, but expands its capacity to match the game’s larger online co-op support.
The Warthog is formally designated the M12 Force Application Light Reconnaissance Vehicle. In earlier Halo games, the standard layout generally supported a driver, a passenger, and a gunner; the added rear seat is therefore a notable gameplay adjustment rather than a new vehicle class.
A common mix-up is Halo Infinite’s Razorback, which has four rear passenger seats but is a different vehicle without the classic Warthog turret. The Scorpion is a tank, while the Banshee and Wraith are Covenant vehicles, so none fits the rear-bumper-seat clue.
