Which U2 song won the 2005 Grammy for Best Rock Song?
Answer
Vertigo
Answer
Vertigo
U2’s song “Vertigo” won the 2005 Grammy Award for Best Rock Song.
“Vertigo” was released as the lead single from How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb in 2004. Written by U2 and produced with Jacknife Lee and Flood, it uses a direct guitar-driven style that contrasted with some of the band’s more electronic 1990s work.
The song’s famous “uno, dos, tres, catorce” count-in became one of its signature features. The Spanish numbers helped give the track a distinctive hook, although the fourth number literally means fourteen rather than four.
At the 47th Annual Grammy Awards in 2005, “Vertigo” won three awards, including Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Short Form Music Video.
