Which two clubs recorded away wins in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round?

Leeds United and Chelsea recorded the only away wins in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.

Leeds United won 1–0 away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday 22 August 2026. Chelsea then won 3–2 away at Fulham in the final match of the round on Monday 24 August.

The other victories were home wins: Arsenal beat Coventry, Hull City beat Manchester United, Everton beat Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town beat Sunderland, Brentford beat Tottenham and Brighton beat Aston Villa. Manchester City also won at home against Bournemouth.

Newcastle United versus Liverpool ended 2–2, so neither team counted as an away winner. Sunderland, despite being one of the promoted clubs, lost away to Ipswich.
