Which track was the third single from Metallica's The Black Album?
Answer
Nothing Else Matters
Answer
Nothing Else Matters
“Nothing Else Matters” was the third single from Metallica's The Black Album.
The single was released on April 20, 1992, after “Enter Sandman” and “The Unforgiven.” Its reflective lyrics and orchestral arrangement made it one of Metallica's best-known power ballads, contrasting with the band's more aggressive material.
James Hetfield wrote the song with Lars Ulrich. It began as a private song Hetfield wrote while touring, but the band later developed it into a full studio arrangement. Kirk Hammett does not play on the studio recording, although he appears in the video and performs the song live.
The single reached number six on the UK Singles Chart and became a major international hit. “Sad but True” was also issued as a single, but it was not the third single in the album's main release sequence.
